Exe Valley u3a Reading Group 2 subscribes to the Libraries Unlimited book group scheme which supplies 10 copies each month from a long list of 24 chosen by us annually. There is a charge of £90 for this service, to which we all contribute. This gives us a wide variety of genres including some which are outside our normal preferences to widen our reading experience. There are inevitably differing opinions and we always enjoy a lively and good-natured discussion about its literary merit or otherwise, the plot and the characters.

We meet in the homes of various group members at 2pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month. We are currently fully subscribed, as we’re necessarily limited by copies available as well as the need to ensure that all members have a chance to contribute fully to the discussions.
