There are now two Bridge Groups:

Tuesdays and Thursdays .

Playing and learning to play bridge has proved a popular activity in Exe Valley U3A. From a single beginners group we now have two groups.

As we increase the number of members who wish to play or learn bridge, we will make every effort to form extra groups.

Tuesday Bridge

The Tuesday Bridge group play online at 7.30pm most weeks. We also meet to play on Wednesday afternoons to include those in the group that prefer not to play online. Our Wednesday session is now full but we would welcome anyone that would like to play online on a Tuesday evening. We play ‘Bridge Base Online’.

Thursday Bridge for more experienced players

Group Leader - Vicki Stuckey. This group is now closed to new members as it started as a beginners group in 2008 and the group is well along the "learning curve" and of course there is a maximum number of people who can play in member's homes.

Most members that joined this Bridge Group had never played bridge before. Our aim was to enable our members to enjoy bridge at a purely social level and in this the group has succeeded.

The group now meets weekly at member's houses and we spend the evening playing bridge and sometimes enjoying a "post-mortem" of a particular game with the the help of more experienced members.
